His resplendent career is adorned with a litany of noteworthy accomplishments – chief among them is his role as the erstwhile Director General of the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). His visionary leadership in conceiving the Photonics Valley Corporation in Telangana, in collaboration with the Telangana government and Photonics Inc. As the Chairman of the Committee for Development of Indian Microprocessors, Dr. Saraswat masterminded the configuration of the M-Processor for IoT, Smart Cities, and various other ICT applications, underlining his strategic vision for indigenous technological advancement. Furthermore, his conceptualization of the Indian Railway Research Institute is poised to propel the nation’s indigenous designs and manufacturing programs for high-speed rail systems.
