Hardik Arvindbhai Patel

Dr. Hardik Patel earned his B.E. in Production Engineering from Bhavnagar University and his M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat. He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, funded by Technology System Development Program, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Dr. Patel was honoured with the prestigious ‘Gandhian Young Technological Innovation Award-2020’ by the Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions (SRISTI) for his project. Following his Ph.D., he served as a Research Associate at the Centre of Excellence in Neuro-Engineering, in collaboration with AIIMS-IITD.

 

Dr. Patel’s research interests include CNC machine development, motion control, pneumatics, electropneumatic, PLC programming, and IoT. Additionally, he has expertise in the brazing of diamonds, grinding, and both sequential and hybrid micromachining. He has authored and published more than Seven research papers in esteemed national and international journals, conferences, and symposia.

 

He has over five years of experience in both industry and academia, at Zydus Cadila in the packaging department and Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science as assistant professor in Mechanical Engineering Department.

Core Strengths / Specialties:

– Research & Development with expertise in CNC machine development, motion control, pneumatics, electropneumatic, PLC automation, and IoT

– Micromachining, grinding, CAD/CAM, and machining processes

– Product conceptualization, prototyping, and material characterization at the microscale level, extending to product and system-level testing

– Product development, project management, and technical due diligence

  3. Post Ph.D. Research Associate at COE neuro engineering IIT Delhi in collaboration with AIIMS Delhi project funded by Indian Council for Medical Research.
