Rishi Parvanda has submitted his PhD thesis on the topic “Development of a Rapid Tooling (RT) technique for manufacturing Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) electrodes using low melting point alloy (LMPA)” from BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, India. During this project, he gained experience in different AM techniques and specifically worked on the 3D printing of LMPA using FDM. He has also utilized different AM techniques to make the EDM electrodes using the rapid tooling path.
He has published research papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented papers at international conferences. His research interests lie in rapid tooling, additive manufacturing, and integration of AI/ML in manufacturing (Smart Manufacturing) concerning Industry 4.0.
He has combined experience of 4 plus years in teaching and industry. He has done his M-Tech from NIT Warangal, specializing in computer-integrated manufacturing. His M-tech work is on the ‘Optimization of machining parameters for turning Niobium-C103 alloy’. He has a B-Tech in mechanical engineering from RGPV, University, Bhopal. He likes playing badminton, listening to music, swimming, watching cricket and tennis.
