Ujjaval Modi

With over 10+ years of experience in academia, is currently pursuing PhD from Ahmedabad University, Ahmedabad in the area “Friction Stir Additive Manufacturing with utilizing of Artificial Intelligence”. He holds an M.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization of CAD-CAM from Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad and a B.Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ganpat University, Mehsana. His research interest is in AI/ML in manufacturing, Precision Engineering and metal additive manufacturing that works based on friction as joining method. He is also proficient in various software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion360, Inventor, Einscan, Ultimaker Cura, and Ansys.

His areas of expertise as a teacher include curriculum creation, teaching pedagogy, and examination. As a Subject Matter Expert in Mechanical Engineering, he effectively mentors undergraduate and graduate projects, plans training courses, and participates in scholarly investigations. He strongly supports the methods of project-based learning and learner-oriented teaching. He likes to read book, play violin and build small scale aeromodelling aircraft.
